About me
Hi, I am David Torres. I have been in the moving business for about 16 years and have been the owner/operator of Taurus Moving for 11 years now. I started in the moving business working part time for a family owned moving company that had been in business for almost 20 years and was based in Scottsdale catering higher end clientele. It was with this company that I learned the art of moving peoples’ possessions in a safe and secure manner. The base layer of proper techniques and practices on how to move efficiently and effectively were instilled upon me at this time. I have since refined and improved upon those techniques to become the professional moving company that I am today. My company was born more out of necessity than anything else as the company that I had been working for decided to take a different direction and get out of the moving business. This is where I seized the opportunity to take destiny by the reigns and carve out my own little niche in the moving world.
I started off very small with one truck and two part time workers. Unfortunately, I started my independent business at the beginning of the housing market crash so jobs were somewhat hard to come by at first with little to no existing client base. However, over the years, I have since added four trucks and have up to 15 workers available at any given time. I have greatly expanded my customer base and receive over 85% of my current jobs from previous customers, customer referrals, and realtor referrals. I’ll move anyone, and I love to bring new customers into the Taurus Moving fold and show them that they have found a life long mover that they can rely on to be there in the future to fulfill all of their moving needs. That is my main objective to you as my customer—to provide you with an excellent, efficient, trustworthy, and safe moving experience so that you allow me to move you again. And so that you refer me to your friends, your family, your coworkers, etc. I am not only working for you on your job, but I am also working for future jobs.
